Worship: We long to experience the presence of God in worship—this is number one with us when it comes to having church.  We love to worship Him by His Spirit, in His truth and with our hearts.

Prayer: We believe in the power of prayer because God loves us and hears us when we call.  We believe that Jesus gives us favour in our prayers.  And we believe that there is nothing more valuable to do with our time than to pray.

Intimacy with God; We were created to know God.  Jesus came to bring us into a personal relationship with him and with our Heavenly Father.  Our greatest passion is a pursuit of an intimate relationship with the Living God.

Lifestyle Christianity: It is hypocritical to say you love God but you don’t do what he says.  Jesus said, “If you love me, you will obey my commands.”  A true follower of Christ is not one who just hears his word but who does it.

Genuine Relationships: Society has become de-personalized and largely superficial.  The church is to be a family where genuine caring, unwavering commitment and mutual accountability are the norm.

Relevance and Informality: Jesus was neither formal nor irrelevant.  We aim to follow his example and relate to everybody where they are at.  We are not into being religious—we just want to be ourselves and become more like Jesus.

Building Unity: Jesus is very pleased when we join hands with other churches and Christians in the city.  The truth is, Jesus has only one church in the city of Edmonton and all who know him are part of it.

The “Five-Fold” Ministry; The ministry of Jesus to the church today is best exemplified by the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Shepherd and Teacher.  The church must have a balance of all five to be truly effective.

Ministry to the Broken: Jesus had compassion on the crowds because they were like lost sheep without a shepherd.  The Spirit of God is upon us to minister healing to the sick, comfort to the broken and freedom to the captives.

Every Believer a Minister: We believe in leadership, but we don’t like to make a big distinction by using titles or separating the “clergy” as the ones hired to be the ministers.  We are all ministers with specific and important ministries.

Bringing the Good News: The early disciples were excited about Jesus, and God supernaturally confirmed their message.  The good news about Jesus should be more than talk; it should come with heavenly power and deep conviction of soul.
